Leeds is now home to three universities, two of which are based right in the centre of the city. Leeds University is one of the top higher education institutions in the country and produces some of the most skilled academics in the world. As well as being the home to the brilliant Leeds United we are also home to rugby league powerhouse squad Leeds Rhinos.

Leeds Kirkgate Market is one of the most popular shopping and historical destinations in the city, with it’s impressive decor and wide variety of food and cultures.

9. Theatre

When it comes to the stage Leeds is home to Leeds Grand Theatre, the West Yorkshire Playhouse and the legendary City Varieties theatre.
